Our Detroit office is looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the design and development of electrical systems for a range of innovative facilities from schematics through construction administration.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • In-charge project leadership, including management of electrical engineering team

  • Designing power distribution, lighting, control, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems

  • Development of project electrical systems scope in conjunction with client

  • Collaborating with other technical disciplines to integrate electrical systems into building designs

  • Preparation of engineering studies including written reports and oral presentations

  • Presenting technical concepts in a clear and compelling manner to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • Guiding junior engineers and reviewing their work to ensure accuracy and adherence to standards

  • Specifications development

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering

  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the United States

  • Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in the A/E industry

  • Working knowledge of NFPA 70

  • Proficiency in Revit and Microsoft Office programs

  • Experience with lighting software (i.e., Visual Lighting, AGi32)

  • Experience with short circuit and coordination software is a plus

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Professional demeanor and understanding of workplace conduct

  • Ability and willingness to travel
