Architecture

We design buildings and the spaces inside and around them, with an eye to how the people who use them will actually live and work and move through them every day. From the first concept sketch to the moment the doors open, we are in it with you.

  • Before we design anything, we figure out exactly what you need. We sit down with the people who will use the building, document how they work, and produce a detailed program: every space the building requires, how big each one should be, and what happens in it. Skip this step and you end up with a building that does not quite fit.

  • The drawings, the details, the decisions about materials and form and how light moves through a room. We take your program and translate it into a buildable project, then stay involved through construction to make sure what gets built is what was designed.

  • The site is part of the building. We design outdoor space, grading, plantings, paving, lighting, gathering areas, so the way someone arrives at your building is as considered as the building itself.

  • Once the walls are up, the inside has to work. We work with finishes, furniture, fixtures, lighting, acoustics, and wayfinding so the people inside can find what they need, do their work, and feel something about the space.
