The DTE Performance Center is a tangible symbol of DTE Energy's commitment to employee well-being and supports the company's upcoming Workplace Transformation Initiative. The project is an adaptive reuse of the sixth floor of the DTE Energy Services Building on the corporate headquarters campus. DTE Energy's vision for this dedicated wellness space is to create an environment that fosters a culture of well-being.

The design was guided by DTE Energy's core principles:

  • Flexibility: creating an environment that meets the changing demands of employees and economic conditions

  • Integration: incorporating wellness, amenities, and community offerings

  • Excellence: facilitating access to unique, best-in-class employee wellness opportunities

  • Energy Efficiency: incorporating new energy conservation equipment to significantly reduce building energy usage

  • Sustainable Solutions: featuring recycled wood from downtown Detroit in the interior design
