The DTE Performance Center is a tangible symbol of DTE’s commitment to its employees’ well-being, and also supports DTE Energy’s impending Workplace Transformation Initiative plans. This project is part of an adaptive re-use of the sixth floor of the DTE Energy Services Building on the Corporate Headquarters Campus. The DTE vision of a dedicated wellness space is to create an environment to foster a culture of well-being.

The model was built on DTE’s main guiding principles:

• Flexibility: creating an environment to meet the changing demands of our people and economic conditions

• Integration: incorporating wellness, amenities and community offerings

• Excellence: facilitating opportunities to access unique, best-in-class employee wellness

• Energy Efficiency: new energy conservation equipment was designed to significantly reduce the energy usage for the building

• Sustainable Solutions: recycled wood from Downtown Detroit is being used as a feature for the interior design
